KHQ Group Quilt: The Doors of Kingston, 2011 The Doors of Kingston began as a millennium project. We talked about the significance of a new century, likening it to the opening of a door to new experiences. And what better doors to open than our own? Some members chose well know public buildings, while others paid homage to their own homes. With a range from historic to contemporary, we gathered 13 doorways and mounted them on the likeness of the front door of our City Hall. All in all, a time consuming but rewarding effort. With the completion of the Doors of Kingston, we look forward to seeing it hung in its home in the Kingston Frontenac Public Library's Isabel Turner Branch.
